Some trips are exciting. Some are emotional. Some are life-changing.
At Ride A WAV Cincy, we've learned that accessible long-distance transportation is about much more than getting from Point A to Point B. It's about helping people through some of the biggest moments in their lives—with comfort, dignity, and someone they can count on.
Whether you're relocating to be closer to family, traveling for specialized medical care, catching a flight, or finally taking that long-awaited vacation, we're here to make the journey easier.
Because no matter how far you need to go, we'll go with you.
Helping One Client Start a New Chapter
One of the most memorable trips we've ever made was helping a client relocate from Michigan to Cincinnati, Ohio.
Moving is stressful for anyone. When you use a wheelchair, that stress can multiply.
There are medications to keep track of, medical equipment to transport, family members coordinating schedules, and the uncertainty of starting over somewhere new.
Our client and their family didn't want to worry about transferring between multiple vehicles or trying to figure out how to make the trip safely. Instead, they chose Ride A WAV Cincy.
We picked them up at their home in Michigan, made sure they were comfortably secured in one of our wheelchair accessible vehicles, and drove them all the way to their new community in Cincinnati.
It wasn't just transportation.
It was helping someone begin the next chapter of their life with comfort and peace of mind.
By the time we arrived, our client wasn't exhausted from navigating complicated travel arrangements. They were able to focus on settling into their new home while their family focused on supporting them.
That's why we love what we do.
When Travel Doesn't Go as Planned
Not every trip begins the way people expect.
Sometimes flights are delayed.
Sometimes they're canceled.
Sometimes plans completely fall apart.
Back in march , we received a call from a traveler who had become stranded after arriving at CVG Airport. He still needed to get to Akron, Ohio, and he weren't sure what to do next.
Finding accessible transportation for a trip like that isn't easy.
Many services only operate locally, and traditional rideshare options aren't designed for passengers who remain in their wheelchairs.
We told him not to worry.
Our driver met him at the airport, helped them get comfortably settled into one of our wheelchair accessible vans, and drove them all the way to Akron.
After the trip, we received one of those emails that reminds us why we started this business.
"On March 13-14th 2026 i was stranded at Cincinnati Airport in Cincinnati, Ohio and and your service saved the day by driving me to Akron, Ohio I'll never forget what you did for me!!! Never"
Dr. Diallo Davis
Those messages mean everything to us.
Because behind every reservation is a person who simply needs someone they can depend on.

Traveling for Medical Care
Many of our long-distance trips involve medical appointments.
Some of the country's best specialists aren't located close to home, and for many families, traveling several hours is simply part of receiving the care they need.
We've helped clients travel to hospitals and specialty centers, including the Cleveland Clinic, where patients come from all over the country for expert care.
Whether it's an important consultation, surgery, treatment, or a follow-up appointment, we understand how important it is to arrive safely, comfortably, and on time.
Medical travel is already stressful enough.
Transportation shouldn't add to that stress.
Leisure Trips Matter Too
Not every ride has to be about healthcare.
Some of our favorite trips are the ones filled with excitement.
Visiting grandchildren.
Going on vacation.
Attending a wedding.
Seeing friends.
Taking a weekend getaway.
Going to a sporting event.
Everyone deserves the freedom to make memories, regardless of mobility challenges.
Accessible transportation shouldn't limit where life takes you.
