Growing older changes more than our health. It can change our relationships, family roles, independence, and the way we plan for the future. These changes can sometimes feel overwhelming, but no older adult, family member, or caregiver should have to navigate them alone.
Ride A WAV Cincy is proud to support Aging Reimagined: A Conversation Between Generations, a special community event created to bring seniors, families, caregivers, and local aging professionals together for an afternoon of education, encouragement, and connection.
The event will take place on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Boone County Historic Courthouse Ferguson Center, located at 2988 Washington Street in Burlington, Kentucky.
Space is limited, so guests are encouraged to reserve their spots early by calling 859-609-1733.
An Honest Conversation About Aging, Independence, and Family
Aging is a natural part of life, but that does not mean it is always easy to discuss. Older adults may worry about losing their independence, while family members may struggle to know when and how to offer support. Caregivers often take on tremendous responsibilities while trying to balance their own health, work, and family lives.
Aging Reimagined will create a welcoming place to begin these important conversations.
The program will focus on topics that matter to families throughout Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati, including:
Supporting independence as needs change
Preserving dignity throughout the aging journey
Strengthening communication between generations
Helping families navigate caregiving decisions
Connecting older adults and caregivers with trusted local resources
The goal is for every guest to leave feeling more informed, inspired, and empowered.
Meet the Featured Guest Speakers
The event will feature two knowledgeable speakers who have dedicated their careers to supporting older adults, caregivers, and families.
Sam Cradduck
Sam Cradduck is a gerontologist, author, educator, and nationally recognized advocate for dignity in aging and caregiving. She is the founder of More Than Heart™ Family & Caregiver Training and a co-host of the nationally syndicated television program Aging Untold.
Sam helps families navigate aging, dementia, caregiving, independence, and difficult life transitions with practical tools, greater understanding, and compassion.
Colleen Burns, PAC-M
Colleen Burns is a dementia specialist with Homewatch CareGivers of Northern Kentucky and a mentor with Positive Approach to Care®. She holds five PAC certifications, including Champion Teacher, Consultant, Engagement Leader, Coach, and Trainer.
Colleen works with families and professionals to create more supportive and compassionate approaches to dementia care.
Together, these speakers will share helpful knowledge that families can use as they move through the different stages of aging and caregiving.

Enjoy Dinner, Vendors, Prizes, and Community Connections
This is more than an educational presentation. It is a chance to enjoy a meaningful evening with other people who understand the joys and challenges that can come with aging and caregiving.
Admission includes a delicious hot meal and access to the vendor showcase. Guests who visit every participating vendor between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. will have a chance to win a special door prize. Additional raffle prizes and surprises will also be offered during the event.
Tickets are $10 per person, and veterans may attend free of charge.
Most importantly, guests will have an opportunity to discover local organizations and caring professionals who can make the aging journey feel a little less overwhelming.
Complimentary Shuttle Service Provided by Ride A WAV Cincy
Parking for the event will be available at Burlington Baptist Church, 3031 Washington Street in Burlington.
Ride A WAV Cincy is honored to provide a complimentary continuous shuttle service from the church parking area to the event venue between 3:45 and 4:15 p.m.
We understand that transportation and parking can create additional stress, especially for older adults, people with limited mobility, and family caregivers. Our team is proud to help guests arrive more comfortably and enjoy the event without worrying about getting from the parking area to the Ferguson Center.
If you or a loved one has specific mobility or wheelchair-accessibility needs, we recommend discussing those needs when reserving your spot.
Why This Event Matters to Ride A WAV Cincy
At Ride A WAV Cincy, we believe independence means more than getting to a medical appointment. It also means staying connected to family, participating in the community, attending educational events, and continuing to enjoy meaningful experiences.
Every day, we meet older adults and caregivers who are working through difficult decisions. Sometimes they need reliable transportation. Other times, they simply need to know that supportive people and helpful resources are available.
That is why we are grateful to participate in Aging Reimagined. When local organizations work together, families have more choices, better information, and a stronger support system.
Aging should not be viewed as the end of the road. It can be a new beginning filled with opportunities to learn, grow, connect, and continue living with purpose.
Reserve Your Spot for Aging Reimagined
We warmly invite seniors, adult children, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community members to join us for this important conversation.
