November 8, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Registration requiredLocal veterans and their families can enjoy a day of recognition and celebration, complete with a catered brunch and guest speakers.
November 9, 2 p.m. Memorial Hall’s longtime resident wind symphony will honor the 250th anniversary of the US Navy, the U.S. Marine Corps, and the rest of the armed forces. The symphony will offer a variety of patriotic selections honoring the various branches of the military and the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform who have protected our nation for all these years. Reception immediately following the concert.
November 11, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. All members of the military — active and retired — will receive free admission to the Zoo on Veterans Day. The offer also allows military personnel to purchase up to six discounted admission tickets for members of their immediate family.
